This is one of my favorite flag football passing concepts. It’s great against man coverage and it’s really good against cover 2 & cover 3. It’s also very good against man coverage. The Switch Verticals for 6v6 Flag Football is a must add play!

1: Vertical release, stretch the seam.
2: Outside wheel release, stretch the outside 3rd.
3: Hitch route- this is the hot- if your QB gets a blitzer, have the Q look for the 3.
4: Vertical stem 3 yards, outside release, stretch the outside 3rd.
5: 3 yard stem, cut behind the 4, stretch the inside seam.
QB READ: if your seeing man coverage, have the Q look to your best athlete. If it is cover 2 or 3, look to the wheel- post side (4 & 5). The wheel route against man to man coverage is almost always open.
This is a core concept featured in my 6v6 Attack System Playbook. Grab the full playbook today!

If the center isn’t eligible, disregard his route. If he can release out on a pass route, you can also have him run an out to the left or right. This play is great for 7v7 as well- just add a back next to the QB and have him run a swing- he can also be the hot throw.
You can also run this play out of a stacked receiver alignment (stack the receivers to the switch verticals side). This will allow you receivers to get free releases. It will also create alignment conflict for the defense.
