This concept combines two of the best Cover 2 zone beaters: Flood and Scissors. It puts serious stress on the defense by attacking multiple zones at once, while also giving you a strong answer against man coverage. Below is a breakdown of my Flood / Scissor Passing Concept.

1: Vertical
2: Deep out route- 10 yard stem.
5: Speed out. Can also sit between the inside and outside zone defender.
3: Corner route- 8 yard stem- cut behind the 4.
4: Post route- 8 yard stem.
QB Read (scissors side): Read the safety. If the safety covers the 3, throw to the 4. If the safety cover 3 the 4, throw to the 3.
QB Read (flood side): Read this 1 to 2 to 5. Always read it top down. If your QB is feeling pressure, look for the 5.
The read can be changed based on matchup, defender leverage, and coverage. The Scissors and Flood are great any coverage beaters- you can’t go wrong having them in your playbook. Season after season this is one of my best concepts.
Playbook: 2×2 Attack System Playbook for Flag Football (7v7)
This is a great passing concept because it gives your offense an answer against almost any coverage. The Flood side is strong versus both man and zone because it stretches the defense horizontally and creates an easy high-low read for the QB. The Scissors side is especially effective against Cover 2 and man coverage, giving you a built-in shot play while still keeping the read simple and clean.
