This is one of the best split-field coverage beaters. Split-field coverage beaters are passing plays that have a man beating concept to one side and a zone beating concept to the other. This is one of my favorite Flag Football Plays for 7v7!
Man Beater Side
QB Read: Look to throw the whip route. Give a little shoulder fake as 1 in-breaks.
1) Inside stem- 4 yards, whip back outside on an out.
Zone Beater Side
5) Hitch route- 6 yard stem.
4) Post route- 8 yard stem. (goes behind the 2)
2) Corner route- 9 yard stem. (goes in front of 4)
3) Spot route.
This passing concept is great against cover 2 zone and man coverage. If it’s man coverage QB can look to the 1. If it’s cover 2, QB will read the safety.
Safety covers the Post, throw the Corner. Safety covers the Corner, throw the Post. This is one of the core plays featured in my 3×1 Attack System Playbook.
