2×2 Half Roll-out Passing Concept for 7v7 Flag Football

This is one of the best 7v7 flag football plays! It gets your QB on the move, cuts the field in half, and gives them a simple, clearly defined read.

What makes this concept even better is that it gives you answers for multiple coverages. You have a zone-beating concept to one side and a man-beating concept to the other, allowing your QB to identify the coverage pre-snap and know exactly where to work.

4: Corner route- 10 yard stem.

5: Post-Out Double Move. Stem for 5 yards, break to the post, 3rd step, flatten out and run an out.

C: Outside stem, 4 yards, break on the out.

1: Post route- 8 yard stem.

2: Trail Route- outside release (looks like wheel), on the 6th step, slice back inside, trail post.

3: Fake handoff to the left, continue out on a swing.

QB: Fake to the 3, turn and half rollout to the the right. Progression: 4 to 5 to C. Progression can change based on coverage. Many times the 2 will be open if it’s man coverage.

It features two man coverage beating routes and a zone coverage beater. It has the answers for anything the defense throws at you.Getting the QB on the move also puts added stress on the defense.

It changes the launch point, helps neutralize the rusher, and forces defenders to cover for longer while trying to maintain their leverage. Easy read. Multiple coverage answers. QB on the move. Big-play potential. This is exactly the type of concept you want in your 7v7 flag football playbook.
